Esri Polska is the exclusive distributor of Esri Inc, USA, a global market leader in GIS (geographic information system) working with customers across commercial, government, utilities and manufacturing sectors. Esri Polska, for 25 years, distributes and supports GIS software, provides training as well as designs, develops and implements solutions for customers. With close to 100 employees in Poland we operate in 2 main offices in Warsaw and Lublin. We are a company with high ambitions, with great technology providing customer value through location-based IT-solutions, now we are looking for an inspirational and customer-oriented Managing Director.

We expect the Managing Director to provide leadership to our Strategic Management Team (SMT), establish a working relationship with the company Board and evolve the growth-oriented company strategy. The Managing Director position at Esri Polska is an entrepreneurial leadership job based on purpose and staff engagement, coaching leaders, delivering customer value, demand generation including selecting targeted markets and profitable growth.

The Managing Director of Esri Polska will be responsible for:

• Providing inspirational leadership throughout the entire organization and directly manage the SMT team.
• Making high-level decisions focused on customer and market potential.
• Leading the strategic improvement process including market potential, customers, and employee perspective together with SMT. Developing and implementing needed operational policies to support this.
• Reporting to as well as seek support from the Advisory Board. The chairman of the board will support the Managing Director with frequent coaching as well as support in the international Esri distributor network.
• Positively influencing and continue to evolve the high-performing company culture and company vision.
• Becoming or developing the GIS spokesperson in Poland.
• Overseeing the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, auditing, ensuring the company follows regulations and all legal matters.
• Building alliances and partnerships with other organizations, networking with them where needed.

Esri Polska Managing Director is expected to:

• Have a relevant educational background – IT, GIS, technical, Economics and/or MBA would be an asset.
• Have a minimum 7 years of experience and ability to lead a growing and profitable business.
• Be familiar with GIS and/or location-based and/or relevant IT-solutions with implementation services, solution-delivery and benefits of location-based solutions.
• Have experience in international business environment with many stakeholders.
• Have several years of experience and understanding of Customers and Customer benefits from IT/GIS solutions (know how to maintain existing Customer relationships, tender processes as well as finding new Customers).
• Have proven management and organizational skills.
• Speak and write fluent English (C1/C2).
